Daylight Assignment

The second assignment in Studio Lighting is the Daylight Assignment. Yes, the project does not involve studio lights, but sunlight is harder to control than strobe lights. If you can control sunlight, strobes will be a lot easier than you think.

For the assignment, you must create a series of 10 8x10 images of any subject matter, as long as some form of sunlight is the ONLY source of light and it is the main character or star of the image. You may shoot indoors or out. The only tools that you may use to control the sun are reflectors, mirrors, windows and bounce cards. No solar powered lights, no fill flash.

As always, don't forget to turn in your lighting maps.

Critique is Tuesday, September 6th with a working critique today.
